 Susan Hammer - Co-Owner
Susan, literally, set the tone for 4580.
Born in Manhattan in 1965, Susan grew up traveling around the world with her parents, living in Saudi Arabia, France, Bahrain, Lebanon and various cities across the United States. Moving around the world instilled in her a sense of adventure and a multicultural aesthetic that especially focused on art.

After receiving a degree in Communications at Boston University, Susan followed her heart to New York City. Fulfilling her interest in learning more about art, she attended NYU's Institute of Fine Arts, where she received a degree in Art History with a concentration in Ancient Greek Vase Painting.
Through this program, Susan was able to take part in an expedition on the Island of Samothrace for two months, immersing herself in Greek culture.
Back in Manhattan, she worked for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, various galleries in SoHo and Upper East Side, and as an art conservator for a boutique conservation shop. Susan's then went on to design jewelry for her company, Screamwear, while staying connected to art through Stone Carving at the Art Student's League and participation in various drawing and painting classes.
Susan met martin in Manhattan and they married in 1994 and moved to Colorado. Susan continued to satisfy her desire for artistic expression and change, by designing interiors her family, friends and neighbors. Three homes and three kids later (Myles 9, Kate 7, Tess 3) she built 4580 with Martin.
Through her extensive travel and education, Susan brings a seasoned aesthetic to 4580. She is responsible for designing both the restaurant and the Uptown Wine Shop. She attends to all visual details and is excited about promoting more art and cultural events through the restaurant/wine shop.
