Martin Hammer - Co-Owner

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Martin has worked in the restaurant industry for 23 years. He spent his summers working as a bartender and server in at the infamous Conscience Point Inn in South Hampton. Drawn to the chaos and energy, his passion for the restaurant industry prompted Martin to pursue a career in Manhattan.

There, he managed legendary restaurants such as Sign of The Dove, Marylou's and Fresco. Martin gained a reputation as both a customer and co-worker favorite. And, with his impeccable work ethic and team player attributes, Martin went to work for famed restaurateur Drew Nieporant (Nobu, Tribeca Grill, Montrachet) and the Myriad Restaurant Group, by managing East Hampton Point Restaurant.

Moving to Colorado in 1994, Martin worked for Mel Master at Mel's Bar & Grill in Cherry Creek and then anchored himself for the next decade at Colorado's most celebrated restaurant, The Flagstaff House. Today, Martin owns both 4580 and the Uptown Wine Shop (next door) with his wife, Susan. Together they have three children.

Martin, who attributes his work ethic to his parents, says "They cared about everything. Day in and day out they did everything to the best of their ability. If you grow up seeing people act that way, it's hard to give anything less."
